All Things Baby!

I'm 27 weeks now, meaning I've reached the 6 month mark! This will be the last week of my second trimester. Time is flying by and Baby Girl will be here in 3 months!

I still feel great, (basically anything that's not nausea and puking, like in the first trimester, is fine by me)! She's moving all the time, which is such a joy. She's about 2 pounds now, and is 14 1/2 inches long, and I adore her completely!

We've finally purchased some things for her (other than the converse shoes).

We've ordered this Crib
And this Dresser/Changing Table

And this Glider in a Khaki color

And my Mom made this Amazing Quilt for her

The next step will be for us to register at Babies R Us, which seems like a daunting task, so I keep putting it off! We registered at Pottery Barn Kids on Saturday since that's where our crib bedding is at. Even if no one goes there, when I close the account I'll get 10% off whatever I purchase, so i figured it'd be worth it.

Things feel like they're coming together smoothly, which has kept me from stressing out! I just focus on one thing at a time. Like, today I'll look at cribs, or today I'll research strollers. That way I don't get overwhelmed with all the details. We feel so blessed and excited and maybe a bit impatient to meet her. I enjoy praying for her and her future friends, and her future spouse. I feel like December 30th can't come soon enough, although if she came tomorrow I'd be completely unready! So for now, I pray for her future, and smile with joy every time she wiggles!

Movie Review

Run Fat Boy Run was no Ghost Town, but it was funny. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. Entertaining, it made me laugh, but it's not a "Must see right now" movie.

Favorites #2: Ghost Town

Last night Dan and I went to see Ghost Town...I laughed a lot! (Way more than anyone else in the theater). I highly recommend seeing it, especially if you love these two!

Ricky Gervais & Kristen Wiig

Ricky's character has a gag reflex problem, which made me laugh every time! I couldn't really find a picture of it, but here's one scene were he make "the face" right before his gag.

Tonight we're hoping to watch Run Fat Boy Run. I hope it's equally as funny! I laughed really hard watching the previews for it. I'll let you know what I think!

Favorites #1: allrecipes.com

Everyone has things they love: products, foods, books, etc. I don't always have something interesting to blog about, but I can always pass along something I love. Take it or leave it. Consider it a free product review from me!

This weeks favorite: allrecipes.com

I love this site! I use it all the time. It's perfect for coming up with something for dinner when you have no idea what to make or if you're trying to find a recipe that has a specific ingredient in it. Two of the features that make it, in my opinion, the best recipe site are the Ingredient Search, and the Reviews.

The Ingredient Search, lets you look for something with specific ingredients either in it or not in it. For example, if you're looking for a pasta that had shrimp in it but not peppers, or something like that. The Reviews help tweak a recipe to perfection. Basically everyone will review it and give advice on cooking technique, or adding more or less of something, to let you know how to make it best.

I've made dozens and dozens of recipes from this site. Here are a few of my favs if you're interested:

Peach-a-Berry Pie

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake
- with the Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Moist, tender Spice Cake: Gingerbread Variation
- with the Cream Cheese Frosting II

Dilly Chicken Sandwiches

Nana's Acorn Squash

And last night I made Marinated Grilled Shrimp (submitted by BLONDIEPEREZ) and Cheese Fondue (submitted by Sheila). Both were absolutely fantastic!!!

*all pictures are from the allrecipes.com site, except the one of the chocolate cake. Dan took that one!

Montana

Dan and I spent last week in Montana, visiting family and just hanging out! It was so fantastic! We stayed at Dan's parent's house in Polson, and traveled all around visiting family and seeing the sights! We spent Labor Day up in Eureka, about 10 miles from the Canadian border, at mom's uncle Orvin's for an extended family reunion. We also spent a day at Grandma and Grandpa's picking and eating peaches and green beans from their garden. We went to the Bison Range one afternoon, and also spent a day in Kalispell, and Missoula. After all the driving, we usually spent the evenings back at the house playing games with mom and dad. It was so relaxing, and so beautiful! We typically go every year, but it's crazy to think that the next time we go, we'll have "baby girl" with us!

Here's the week in picture form. (The first one just makes me laugh. Can you get anymore Montana than three men, chatting on the deck, holding a rifle)?
