It made me laugh so hard when going through the pictures.

August

August has been quite a month, full of extreme highs and some lows. I've blogged about a lot of the highs: our anniversary, Dan's birthday, Lakeside, and Hazel's cuteness! But the lows are kicking our butt.

Dan's had a big work project this month that's had him working lots of overtime (luckily mostly from home). Last night was the launch and he went into work around 2am not getting home until 11:20 this morning!!! He's sleeping now. Hopefully this is the end of the craziness. I'm pretty sure it launched so he should be done with it.

And as for me, little Miss Mae has been going through a crazy growth spurt, eating every 3 hours around the clock! I've been quite exhausted. She was sleeping from about 8pm - 6am with a feed, then sleeping til 9am. But this month she's been all over the place with sleeping, and she's been eating at least twice at night if not three times. I think/ hope and pray, that it's slowing down a bit. She's going through some huge development changes too (crawling, getting up on her knees, pulling her self up to her knees) and the "books" say that this will mess up the sleeping for a bit too. All in all, she such a delight, so you can't be too upset, especially with a face like this!

All this too say, we're kinda ready for August to be over! I'm so glad Dan's project is done, and hopefully Hazel will start sleeping better soon.

We went out to dinner on Friday night (Yelp-Friday, as we call it), to an Indian restaurant in Bellevue. It was called Monghul Palace, and it was super delicious! We got Butter Chicken and Coconut Curry and well, this was the end result:

We wiped the bowls clean with the Naan!
Hazel just played while we were there

This was at the Gordon's birthday party last night...Hazel loves her Andrew, just as much as we do!

And a Happy Birthday Shout out to my Brother Brian today! Hope you had a good one. (This is his fam this summer in Northern Ireland).

Salmon Bake

Yesterday we took Hazel to Camp for the first time for the Salmon Bake!

Our nephew Chris was on staff this summer as the BMX bike guy. It was sad to say goodbye to him yesterday; he is leaving tomorrow to go to Emmaus Bible College. This it the current, youngest/oldest cousin pair!

Oh how I love this place! I was so glad to see friends, eat delicious food, and introduce camp to Hazel!

So. Much. Fun.

Last night was so amazing. We took a group of friend to the Crab Pot for Dan's 30th, and spent the evening, laughing, eating, and celebrating Dan! It was way to much fun! I highly recommend this place for a party! We were so excited to spent the evening with friends, we just underestimated the fun factor of the eating experience.

Happy Birthday To The One I Love

Guess who's 30 and Awesome...This guy!

We went to the to the EMP on Saturday both cause Dan had never been and because there was a Jim Henson Exhibit. I'd show you some great pictures from it, but you're not allowed to take any while in the exhibit. But one cute story...Dan always shows Hazel the Mahna Mahna video from youtube. And they had the puppets there so he showed her while singing the song. People laughed, but she seemed to sorta get it and smiled.

I've said it before, and darn it, I'll say it til I die...I LOVE THIS GUY!!!

We're celebrating big tonight, so hopefully I'll get some pictures and post them later.

One More Collage

These are four consecutive pictures taken of Hazel this morning, within a 30 second window. She's just so expressive...and so darn cute! (click on it to see it larger)

7 Awesome Months

Hazel turned 7 months old today! She's so big now! She's about 15 lbs 12 oz, she's still only eating sweet potatoes, she army crawls everywhere, she hasn't mastered sitting unassisted, she's quite vocal, and she has just as many facial expressions as ever.

This is her this morning chewing on her old binkie, which she only uses as a toy now
Over The Last Month

I call this look, CRAZY EYES! It's usually accompanied by her yelling Ha Ha Ha over and over

I love this kid so much! She makes me laugh all the time. We have so much fun. Oh and the other thing she just starting doing, which melts my heart, is she reaches for me when I'm going to pick her up. LOVE IT!

In
non-Hazel news, Dan and I had a fantastic anniversary on Monday. The Matador was so delicious and we made it in time for happy hour, so it was crazy cheap! We saw The Proposal, and it was so fun to be at a movie theater again...I felt like a kid as I rocked back and forth in my cushy chair! We also scored free popcorn, soda, and $1 candy with our Regal Crown Club card! Dan got me these roses in the morning with a Starbucks Americano!!! LOVE HIM DEARLY!

Last Week and Today!

I haven't blogged in awhile cause it's been too hot to sit at the computer, but Hazel and I survived the heat last week. Our rooms are downstairs, which is soooooo nice, so with a fan, the nights weren't bad at all. After Hazel's morning naps we'd just head out and leave for some place with AC, usually Gymboree. But on Tuesday, sweet Bridget and her lovely mother Jody let us come to their refreshingly cool house to swim and have dinner. It was such a blessing to be out of the heat and with friends!

We finally opened Hazel's Maclaren Stroller. She loved it! We put her in it in the house and she went nuts, kicking and smiling!

On Saturday we headed down to Portland for an American/Scottish wedding. (The bride is American, the groom is a friend from Scotland). It had kilts and bagpipes, but other than that I think it was pretty American.

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary! I've been so blessed to be married to my best friend and such a kindhearted loving man! Dan took the day off and we're headed out to a movie (I haven't been to the theater in 7 months) and then off to the Matador in Redmond for dinner! I could go on and on about how wonderful Dan is...but I think Ethan and Emma described him quite well last summer.

They have to be touching him at all times

When Brian and Kellie asked them why they loved Dan so much (and let me tell you, they LOVE him), they replied, "Because he never gets mad!" Later they asked me if he ever got angry, and I had to say, "No, not really." It's so true, he's such a loving husband, friend, uncle, and man of God, and I love him dearly!
